Creating Change

My role as your therapist is to create a space where we can explore the stressors in your life, times of confusion and frustration, or navigating life transitions. Together we will establish goals for therapy, and I will assist you in meeting these goals with directness, warmth and humor. I particularly enjoy working with women adjusting to new roles such as married life and/or motherhood (in all its rawness) and identifying overt and covert expectations.

My work with individuals is heavily influenced  by my experience as a family therapist.  I approach individuals as a part of their family system and larger environment as I believe that where we come from and who we are around now inform our current sense of self.

Pregnancy and Postpartum Support

I have specialized training in Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders (PMADs) to support moms and their partners entering and adjusting to pregnancy, childbirth and parenthood. This is a time of incredible growth and change and my goal is to help parents and parents-to-be feel supported and hopeful during this often daunting journey.

You are welcome and encouraged to bring your baby to our sessions. Toddlers and older siblings can sometimes be distracting and disruptive to the therapeutic process and are encouraged to remain with a caregiver.

You do not need to suffer in silence.  You are not alone.  There is help.  You will get better.
